Discernment Workshop – Life’s Big Decisions

We all make decisions each and every day. Especially when they are big decisions, it is important to consider which option is the Lord calling us to. This workshop teaches the practical tools for discerning God’s will as first taught by St. Ignatius of Loyola. Whether you are considering moving, changing careers, a major purchase, or even a vocational discernment, this workshop will help you move forward with confidence. God has a plan for your life, gain tools to help uncover what it is!

Discernment of Spirits Workshop – God’s Will in Everyday Life

The Lord is immensely interested in every aspect of our lives. He is constantly at work, constantly trying to speak to us. How can we better hear his voice in our day to day interactions? This workshop covers the 14 rules for the discernment of spirits and gives tools to do just that! Drawn from the teachings of St. Ignatius of Loyola and Fr. Timothy Gallagher, it’s designed to help participants better recognize the Lord’s voice in their day to day live.

Intro to Meditative Prayer Workshop – Lecio Divina and Imaginative Prayer

Prayer is not about a method, it’s about a relationship. Just as everyone’s relationship with God is beautifully unique, so too all of our prayer lives take diverse forms. Still there are general norms with how the Lord speaks to us and how we relate to him. This workshop explores the foundations of Meditative Prayer, which St. Theresa of Avila called the gateway to the interior castle, and teaches two traditional forms of meditative prayer. These are Lecio Divina, as taught by St. Benedict, and Imaginative Prayer, the practice of which St. Ignatius of Loyola encouraged.

Root Sin Workshop – What’s keeping you from being a Saint?

Many spiritual writers talk about the importance of identifying one’s “predominate fault” or “root sin”. Knowing your enemy is half the battle they say and this holds true in the spiritual life. This workshop will help get to the root of what is holding you back from heroic virtue. It will help you identify your root sin and develop a battle plan for how to combat it.
